있습니다. 전례없는 안보불안이 감도는 우리 대한민국의 국민들도 작년에 겪었

던 어려움과 실망을 뒤로하고 예외없이 성탄을 축하하고 새해를 맞을것입니다.

연말연시를 즈음하여 여러분 모두가 즐거운 성탄과 복된 새해를 맞으실것을 기

원합니다. 동시에 한반도에 드리워진 전운이 하루속히 걷히길 간절히 소망합니

다.

Dear brothers in arms at home and abroad,
As the sun always rises in the east and sets in the west, Christmas and another New Year are just around the corner again. We South Koreans who are facing with ever highest level of tension on the Korean peninsula will, without exception, celebrate Christmas and greet the New Year leaving all kinds of frustrations and disappointments suffered in the year of 2017 behind. On the occasion of the holiday season, I would lik to sincerely wish you all Merry Christmas and Happay New Year. At the same time, I eagerly hope that the war cloud hang over the Korean peninsula will be lifed as quickly as humanly possible.
